God, it's good to have you back, Football.
Lions 34, Vikings 24
I'll admit it, when the Lions signed Reggie Bush, I wasn't excited. I thought Reggie was all tapped out, and that trying to recussitate your career in Detroit (you know, the place that drives running backs into retirement) was a dumb call. But he looked absolutely electric out there, and it gave the Lions a dimension they haven't had in a long time. Joique Bell didn't look too bad himself. Heavens to Betsy, the Lions have a running game.
Now, as for Calvin Johnson... I can't be mad at you, because nobody understands it. How can this be failure to "complete the process", but this touchdown by Victor Cruz is perfectly fine? Well, except for the giant NY on Cruz's helmet
Dolphins 23, Browns 10
I think I saw season ticket holders burning the rest of their packets in the stairwells after the game. 3 picks for Weeden, 1/14 on 3rd downs, and 47 yards rushing. Everyone was feeling good about the Browns in the preseason, but between that turd of a game, and Terrelle Pryor's not-half-bad performance with Oakland, the Brownies might again grace the bottom of the table again.
Shaggy's Fantasy Kvetch Of The Week
I actually had a half-way decent game, if it weren't for 1) Calvin Johnson having 2 TDs taken off, and 2) MY OPPONENT HAD PEYTON MANNING.
But Wait, There's More!
It's the Monday Night Doubleheader tonight, as the Eagles play the Redskins, followed by the Chargers hosting the Texans. The second game will be heard on Toledo's Fox Sports 1230, starting at 9:45.
