The definition of a bad morning: Seeing this headline. I knew Elway was good, but not THAT good. pic.twitter.com/hvfBzDGKG6— Ben Marrison (@dispatcheditor) September 6, 2013
What wonderful news! Because the guy I was playing in fantasy this week started Manning. Man, wouldn't it have been terrible if Peyton Mannign threw for 7 touchdowns last night?
Here's what's up this weekend:
Toledo @ Missouri: It's the first time Gary Pinkel has faced Toledo since he left 13 years back. You wouldn't think there would be a lot of emotion, but when I talked to him earlier in the week, he said that he still considers himself a Rocket. This'll be a fun game, though I'm hoping that offense comes together better this week than it did last week. 3:30pm kickoff, coverage starts at 1:30 on 1370 WSPD.
BGSU @ Kent State: Oooh, early conference action! Early divisional conference action! Both teams are 1-0, but the Falcons did it a little more impressively by dominating Tulsa, instead of the Flashes struggling against the Liberty Flames. Kickoff is Noon.
Ohio State @ San Diego St.: Think Urban Meyer goes for 2 again early? Think Urban Meyer kicks kittens?
Notre Dame @ Michigan: Not going to lie, I'm looking forward to this thing ending. Anything to make the Irish more irrelevant.
Cleveland Browns vs. Miami: That's a lotta mediocrity on one field.
Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota: Would you believe that the Lions are the favorite here? Yeah, by 5. I dunno about that, mang.
And here's some music, because you've never seen a signing pound of ground beef before.
