Jim Irsay took to Twitter to blast fans who complain about having to buy preseason tickets with their season ticket passes...
U pay a lump sum n reality for 10 Season Tics ..your Bronco tics r 400% under-prized,ur pre-season tics over-priced,it balances out in end— Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) August 14, 2013
That's the reason Season tic prices shouldn't even have a tic price on individual tics..The 10 home game tics have varying value— Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) August 14, 2013
N the end it's fair/U R NOT paying full price for pre-Season games..no more you' re not paying full,but under-prized 4 Texan/ Broncos,etc— Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) August 14, 2013
To translate the Twitter shortening+autocorrect madness: the discount you're getting on your regular season tickets more than makes up the difference for the two preseason tickets you're buying.
How's his logic? On one hand, he has a point: Peyton Manning's return to Indy is technically worth a lot more than what you're paying for it in your package, so it's still a pretty good value. On the other hand, he's now highlighted just how terrible it looks to be charging that same rate for the preseason tickets. Now they're horribly overpriced!
He says they should just take the prices off the tickets. Well, do that. Or even better: take the price you're paying, average it over the course of the home games, and then make the preseason tickets "complimentary". Ta-daaaaah!
