Fred has information on a proposed Buffalo Soldier monument in Pennsylvania

John 'Law Dog' Pitts, the Post Commander. of the Buffalo Soldiers in the Lehigh Valley spoke with Fred about a proposed monument to honor those original African-American troops formed following the end of the Civil War. In 1866 an act of Congress established six all African-American regiments including the 9th and 10th US Cavalry, and 4th Infantry. To honor their service a monument will be built similar to the one pictured.

Law Dog explains how the public can help create this lasting memorial to the brave troops who served through each war until troops were desegregated in 1951 including WWI, WWII, and Spanish-American War.
