Pep Rally in Downtown Toledo for UT Home Opener

(Toledo, OH) There's a pep rally in downtown Toledo at lunchtime.

University of Toledo alumni and football fans alike are invited to the pep rally at Levis Commons at noon, where even the fountain waters will run midnight blue and gold.

Toledo's mayor, UT president and Rockets head football coach Jason Candle will pump up the crowd, while Rocket cheerleaders and mascots will keep the pep rally excitement high. You can toss a football with Rockets players and the park will be decorated with yarn bombs and chalk art.

The pep band will continue Thursday's party into the weekend with pop-up pep rallies Friday night at four Toledo night spots between 9 and 10 p.m. All of the hoopla is meant to mark the Rockets home opener Saturday against VMI at the Glass Bowl.
