(Toledo, OH) Washington Local School board members want a colleague to step down.
The school board unanimously passed a resolution last night asking former superintendent and current board of education member Patrick Hickey to resign after Michigan State Police announced they would reopen a nearly 30-year-old sexual assault case against him.
Hickey departed the district a couple years ago in a mutual agreement, when under fire for inappropriate relationships with teachers and staff, as well as a stalking complaint by a school board member.
Hickey remains banned from school grounds for verbally abusing referees at a Whitmer High School basketball game.
Hickey was not present at last night's meeting, stating on Facebook he was out-of-state watching his son play college basketball.
