Ohio Farm Real Estate Value Drops

(Toledo, OH) Ohio is seeing a slight drop in the value of farm real estate.

The latest USDA report shows the average acre of farm real estate value across the nation increased more than two percent to just over three thousand dollars per acre. But land in the Corn Belt is worth twice that amount overall, with Ohio farmland averaging $5,650 per acre, down just under one percent from last year.

But Ohio also saw a small drop in the value of cropland and pastureland. On the positive side, however, farm real estate value is up just over ten percent in Ohio since 2013.
